The AD/AS Model to Explain the Economy of China Essay...

Using the AD/AS model, we can account for China’s economy to have stable prices by having corresponding growth in output and technology or in other words, corresponding shifts in AD curve and the LRAS curve. Since China has a floating exchange rate, the appropriate macroeconomic policy would be a monetary policy. Typical monetary policies use monetary factors like changing interest rates or money supply to change consumer spending. For example to influence spending governments would increase the money supply and that will cause interest rates to decrease, cause investment to increase and eventually increases AD. The AD curve shifts right and results in a temporary short run equilibrium at higher prices but also higher GDP. The demand of exports will decrease as it has become mor e expensive and AD will decrease until it reaches long run equilibrium. On the other hand, China’s rapid growth also leads to a large increase in demand of goods and services around the world and an overall increase in input prices. This results in a negative demand shock for the UK, and the aggregate demand curve shifts to the left. There will be a decrease AD and GDP also falls below long run equilibrium and decrease in price. When output is below the full employment level, wage rates fall and the SRAS curve will shift right as firms are encouraged to produce more. A new equilibrium is found at same long run GDP but with lower prices. The UK’s economy adjusts back with full employment level. Also, if technology is improving at the same time that would shift the LRAS curve to the right, lowering interest rates in UK’s economy. However, the lowering in interest rates will not necessarily cause a corresponding increase in AD as it is largely dependent on expectations. In China’s case, the expectations will be high due to the su stained boom in the past 10-15 years and the decrease in interest rates will result in a large increase in investments. Causes/ Risk Factors Symptoms of AD are usually subtle in onset and often progress slowly until they are obvious and devastating. The changes characteristic of AD into three general categories: cognitive, functional, and behavioral. Reversible causes of AD include alcohol abuse, medication use, psychiatric disorders, and normal- pressure hydrocephalus. Increasing age is the leading risk factor of people getting Alzheimer’s disease. II. Symptoms, Changes by Psychological and Behavioral A. Dementia Symptoms are usually subtle in onset and often progress slowly until they are obvious and devastating. The changes characteristics of dementia fall into three general categories: cognitive, functional and behavioral. In the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease, forgetfulness and subtle memory loss occur. The patient may experience small difficulties in work or social activities but has adequate cognitive function to hide the loss and can function independently. Depression may occur at this time. With further progression of the disease, the deficits can no longer be concealed. Forgetfulness is manifested in many daily actions. These patients may lose their ability to recognize familiar faces, places, and objects and may get lost in a familiar environment. They may repeat the same stories because they forget that they have already told them. Trying to reason with the person and using reality orientation only increase the patient’s anxiety without increasing function. Conversation becomes difficult, and there are word- finding difficulties. The patient is often unable to recognize the consequences of his or her actions and will therefore exhibit impulsive behavior. The patient may become depressed, suspicious, paranoid, hostile, and even combative. Progression of the disease intensifies the symptoms: speaking skills deteriorate to nonsense syllables, agitation and physical activity increase, and the patient may wander at night. Eventually, assistance is needed for most ADL’s including eating and toileting, since dysphagia occurs and incontinence develops. The terminal stage, in which the patient is usually mobile and requires total care, may last for months or years. Occasionally, the patient may recognize family or caretakers. On the basis of many court decisions, employee should not use the personal email at the office time, because it is against the ethical code of practice of industries. There is no specific rule and right related to the reading and writing of the personal message. Many court decisions were favourable for the employer, as employer sued regarding the privacy of email. An employee can read and write the email message but these would not be under the security protection, all the personal information can be read by employer. Technology enabled the employers to monitor all activities of the employees at work. But employees feel violated because of privacy concern. Employee privacy at workforce has become a legal controversy. Now a day, every company follows the strictness towards the privacy regarding the use of internet at the office time. Mostly in organizations, email and other accessed websites are monitored for the purpose of security of the company related information. In many organizations, use of internet, other than their work is prohibited. Confidentiality of information in the workplace is divided into three categories such as employee information, management information, and business information. It is important for every organisation to keep privacy of employees personal information secure. Lack of privacy can give right to anybody to misuse their personal information or their mail id. Lack of privacy can affect the organisation, as some employees may leak important information to other companies for their own benefit. Many countries or states have laws for the privacy concern of employees in organisations (Parekh, and Parekh Sanjay, 2016). Lack of privacy can also lead to employee committed frauds that is harmful for company image and growth. This can deteriorate company image or reputation in the market. Disclosure of employee information can lose the investor confidence, and employee trust towards the organisation. Advanced Technology is used in the organisation for the successful business in the whole world. These technologies have advantages and disadvantages. Many objections take place for the privacy concern in the workplace between employees and employers. There can be positive and negative objections. These technologies are used in the organisation to keep a watch on the behaviour of the employees. This is done to evaluate the performance of the employees. This is important in the organisation.
